Ubisoft’s Stone Age action-adventure game, Far Cry Primal, will only bring a single-player experience. This is according to the developers themselves. The reason behind this decision is that the developers wanted to stay true in delivering the Stone Age fantasy to players. Since the game will focus on prehistoric humans creating makeshift weapons and equipment in order to survive, the developers deemed it necessary to not include a co-op experience.
A post by Far Cry Primal community manager Jason Paradise on the Steam forum confirms this:
“We are focusing entirely on creating the best possible Far Cry experience for our fans. Bringing the Stone Age to life and providing players with a strong gameplay experience based off of the Far Cry legacy meant we had to reinvent our core gameplay loop. This was definitely not a small undertaking…Therefore, in the early stages of the project, we made the difficult choice of focusing our efforts on the single player experience.” – Jason Paradise, Community Manager
